Know someone who would be a great candidate for the Early Educators Fellowship? Nominate them today!
An ideal candidate for the program is a frontline early childhood educator working in DC who is passionate about their work and wants to strengthen their professional networks and build their skills.
In order to apply, they must
- Work directly with children ages 0-5 and have at least one full year experience in the field of early childhood
- Work in a setting that accepts the child care subsidy and/or is classified as a Head Start, Early Head Start, or a Title I program
- At a minimum, have your CDA and be actively working towards your AA
- Receive approval from your supervisor to apply
- Be comfortable communicating in English (listening and speaking)
Beyond these requirements, ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to the work of early childhood education, an intention to stay in the profession, and a desire to learn and grow.
